The 59th Issue of the Weekly Economic Bulletin Has Been Published
The 59th issue of the Weekly Economic Bulletin, prepared by the Economic Research Unit of the Department of Economics at Ibn Haldun University, has been released. This issue covers recent developments in inflation, reserve data, global production indicators, and commodity markets.

According to the highlights of the bulletin, consumer prices in Türkiye increased by 30.65% year-on-year and 4.84% month-on-month in January. Producer prices rose by 27.17% annually and 2.67% monthly during the same period.

The total reserves of the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (CBRT) increased by $2.544 billion, rising to $218.158 billion in the week ending January 30.

In the United States, the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) Manufacturing PMI rose by 4.7 points to 52.6 in January, exceeding market expectations and reaching its highest level since August 2022.

European Commission Vice President Stephane Sejourne advocated the “Made in Europe” approach, which prioritizes European companies in public procurement across EU member states.

China’s shipbuilding output increased by 11.4% year-on-year in 2025, reaching 53.69 million tons, maintaining China’s global leadership in shipbuilding for 16 consecutive years.

On the last trading day of the week, spot gold traded just below $4,890 per ounce, while gram gold was priced at around ₺6,850.

The FAO Global Food Price Index declined by 0.4% month-on-month and 0.6% year-on-year in January.
