The 77th issue of the Weekly Economic Bulletin, prepared by the Economic Research Unit of the Department of Economics at Ibn Haldun University, has been released. This issue focuses on inflation data, economic confidence indicators, labor market developments, and major updates from the global economy.
According to the highlights, in Türkiye, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 32.11% year-on-year and 0.99% month-on-month in June. The Domestic Producer Price Index (D-PPI) rose by 28.09% annually and 1.80% monthly during the same period.
Türkiye’s Economic Confidence Index increased by 1.8%, rising from 97.2 in May to 98.9 in June.
In the United States, nonfarm payroll employment increased by 57,000 in June. The May nonfarm payroll figure was revised downward from 172,000 to 129,000, while the unemployment rate declined to 4.2%.
According to data released by Eurostat, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in the European Union remained unchanged at 5.9% in May. In the Euro Area, the April unemployment rate was revised from 6.3% to 6.2%, and the unemployment rate remained at 6.2% in May.
Japan announced plans to deploy 10 million AI-powered robots across 18 different sectors by 2040 to address the country's shrinking labor force.
On Friday, spot gold traded at around $4,175 per ounce, while gram gold was priced at approximately ₺6,288.
