The 56th Issue of the Weekly Economic Bulletin Has Been Published
The 56th issue of the Weekly Economic Bulletin, prepared by the Economic Research Unit of the Department of Economics at Ibn Haldun University, has been released. This issue focuses on inflation data, growth expectations, commodity markets, and global economic developments.

According to the highlights of the bulletin, Türkiye’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 30.89% year-on-year and 0.89% month-on-month in December. The Domestic Producer Price Index (D-PPI) rose by 27.67% annually and 0.75% monthly during the same period.

The United Nations (UN) announced that Türkiye’s economy is expected to grow by 3.9% in 2026 and 4.1% in 2027.

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the interim administration in Venezuela will deliver between 30 and 50 million barrels of oil to the United States.

In the Euro Area, consumer prices increased by 2% year-on-year in December, in line with economists’ expectations. On a monthly basis, inflation rose by 0.2%. Annual inflation had stood at 2.1% in November. In Germany, annual inflation declined from 2.6% in November to 2% in December, while in France, consumer prices rose by 0.7% year-on-year, compared to 0.8% in November.

China’s foreign exchange reserves increased by $11.5 billion compared to the previous month, reaching $3.357 trillion at the end of December.

On the last trading day of the week, spot gold traded just above $4,467 per ounce, while gram gold stood at approximately ₺6,200.
