The 65th issue of the Weekly Economic Bulletin, prepared by the Economic Research Unit of the Department of Economics at Ibn Haldun University, has been released. This issue covers confidence indices, defense industry cooperation, global PMI data, and developments in commodity markets.
According to the highlights of the bulletin, Türkiye’s consumer confidence index declined from 85.7 in February to 85.0 in March.
In Türkiye, the Real Sector Confidence Index decreased by 4.1 points month-on-month, reaching 100.0 in March.

In the United States, the preliminary Composite Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) declined by 0.5 points to 51.4 in March, marking its lowest level since April last year. The Services PMI fell from 51.7 to 51.1, while the Manufacturing PMI rose from 51.6 to 52.4, exceeding expectations.
In the Euro Area, consumer confidence dropped to -16.3 in March, reaching its lowest level since October 2023.
On the last trading day of the week, Brent crude oil futures traded at around $108.75, while West Texas Intermediate crude oil (WTI) stood at approximately $94.85.
On Friday, spot gold traded at around $4,452 per ounce, while gram gold was priced at approximately ₺6,367.
