According to some of the highlights from our bulletin, gold surged above $4,300 per ounce on Friday, reaching a new record high, while gram gold hovered slightly above 5,900 lira. In Turkey, the housing price index rose by 1.7% in September compared to the previous month; year-on-year, it increased by 32.2% in nominal terms but declined by 0.8% in real terms. Boston Fed President Susan Collins stated on Tuesday that rising risks in the labor market and the uncertain economic environment support additional interest rate cuts by the central bank. The IMF raised its 2025 growth forecast for Turkey from 3% to 3.5%, projecting that the economy will expand by 3.7% next year — above the July estimate of 3.3%. Meanwhile, China’s consumer price index (CPI) fell by 0.3% year-on-year in September, exceeding economists’ expectations of a 0.2% decline.
