The 43rd issue of the Weekly Economic Bulletin, prepared by the Economic Research Unit of the Department of Economics at Ibn Haldun University, has been released. In this issue, global and domestic economic developments are analyzed, and up-to-date data on the economies of Türkiye, the United States, Europe, and Asia are evaluated.
According to the bulletin, in Türkiye, the highest monthly real return in September was recorded in bullion. Gold declined to below 4,000 dollars per ounce on the last trading day of the week, while gram gold traded around 5,340 lira after starting the day with a flat trend. China’s foreign exchange reserves reached 3.338 trillion dollars in September, marking their highest level since July 2015. In the United States, consumer credit increased by approximately 400 million dollars in August compared to the previous month, reaching 5.1 trillion dollars, while the market expectation had been for a 12.9 billion dollar increase.
