The Department of Economics at Ibn Haldun University will participate as a partner in the ERASMUS+ KA154 Training Course “SuSLab - Skills for a Desirable Future” project, which was approved last year by the Austrian Agency for Education and Internationalization. The project is coordinated by Agri_culture and Mòvesi Aps.
The project includes two mobilities, one in Italy hosted by Mòvesi APS (4-11 April 2025) and one in Austria hosted by (probably in June/July, TBD). With local communities and organizations in Austria and Italy, we will work together, balancing theoretical and hands-on workshops, and group and individual work in close relationship with the place and the local communities.
We would like to appreciate Gülcan Güven Yeşilgün and Mohammed Muntaka Abdul Rahman for putting in all the effort and work to ensure our partıcıpatıon as partners in the Erasmus+ Project.
About the Project:
SusLab is a mobility project aiming to equip youth workers (largely including educators, artists working on social issues and with communities, teachers, trainers, and activists in or outside NGOs) with knowledge, skills, and practice capabilities in sustainability education. The program is largely inspired by the Sustainability Literacy Framework, which aims at changing the way we teach sustainability from a framework based on content delivery to one based on capabilities, imagination and transformative learning. During the training, participants will exercise key sustainability skills like, for instance, permaculture design, ecological thinking, and positive future thinking and engage in creating learning curricula or workshops for fostering the development of these skills and ways of thinking on the side of young people during their daily work with them.
